IMG_0818 (Mobile)Rachel Kerr – President

Hello! My name is Rachel! I am currently studying anthropology, linguistics and Japanese at UC. After joining UCNavs in 2013, the Navigator community has become my extended family and I couldn’t imagine my university life without them being a massive part of it. The laughter and tears we have shared while studying the Bible and going on various adventures together has created bonds that will not be broken easily. If you are interested in knowing more about us or would like to meet up for a coffee then flick me a text or an email! Let me know if you need a ride to any of our events! Hope to meet you soon!

Chantelle Roome – Secretary

Hi I’m Chantelle! I’m in my third year studying to be a primary school teacher and loving it. It may be a cliche, but uni has been the best years of my life so far, and this is partly due to being a part of Navs. I joined in my first year and never looked back. Navs has provided me with an awesome bunch of friends and helped me grow in my relationship with God. It’s a great way to meet new people and find out more about what following God is really about. If you’re keen to find out more, flick us an email!

Stowe and Sarah Campbell – Navigators Staff at UC

We are student staff at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch since November of 2015. We and our three sons moved to New Zealand from Eugene, Oregon where we ran the Navigator ministry at the University of Oregon. In total, Sarah and I have been working with students for over a decade now. We love the opportunity to come alongside students and help them figure out things with God, life, and everything in between.  In addition, we occupy positions on campus at the UC Rec Centre (Sarah) and as an associate chaplain (Stowe).

Tim and Leah Simpson – Navigators Staff at UC

We have been involved in leading and discipling the students at the University of Canterbury since 2013.  We were both involved in this ministry as students and this is how we met in 1999.  Many years later, after careers as a High school Teacher (Tim) and in Politics (Leah), travelling the globe, living abroad  and 3 kids coming along, we are enjoying the challenges we experience everyday as we share Jesus with those around us.  We love having students in our home and cooking a decent feed for them.
